Renewable Energy in India This short video film demonstrates the feasibility and viability of an off-grid solar wind hybrid system for rural electrification as a part of the effort of the government to promote the increased use of renewable energy. Set in a remote village of Lahaul Spiti in Himachal Pradesh, this film also provides a solution to connect remote un-electrified villages and hamlets that are unviable in terms of providing year round access to grid power. pib.nic.in
